Rottweilers
Rescue Rottweilers need careful consideration, especially if their previous history is unknown. The Stray Dogs Sanctuary will not normally re-home these dogs to adopters who have not owned a dog before, and priority will be given to those who have had this breed before.
They are solidly built dogs and are very strong; they need owners who are fully in control, they respond well to training and need a fair amount of exercise. This keeps them calmer and stops them getting overweight, with attendant hip and leg problems.
