They have found homes, but sadly Billy is still looking for one. He was born on 12 September 2013. Billy is a very friendly, gentle boy who will make a wonderful pet and companion for someone. He can be re-homed with another greyhound or lurcher, or as an only dog as long as he is not left on his own for more than 4 hours a day. Name: Brodie

Sex: dog

Age: almost 2 years

Information: Brodie has been in the rescue kennels for many months and would love to have a home of his own. Poor greyhound/staffy Brodie was frightened of everyone and everything when he first came into the kennels. He was living in a home, but his owner had to give him up because of a relationship break-up. Brodie is still nervous while he is in his kennel, but when he is taken out he soon brightens up and is playful and lively. He has good recall when off the lead and he can be left on his own in a home for a few hours. He is very affectionate with people he knows, but is wary of some other dogs, although he is much better than when he first came into the rescue. He has lived with another dog, and may be able to live with another one with careful introduction. He is not used to children, so needs an adult only home. Brodie is in the kennels in Devon.

He is gentle on the lead and has good recall in our enclosed area. Devon is generally clean in his kennel. Devon is good with big dogs however he is not suitable to live with small dogs or cats. He is a bouncy dog and so may not be suitable to live with young children; however he could possibly be rehomed with older children. Devon loves people and wants to be friends with everyone that he meets. He is a really sweet-natured, happy dog who deserves to find a home where he will get plenty of cuddles and love.

Name: Dexter

Dexter has lived with children and has always been very good with them, and he is good with other dogs. He does not like cats, so needs a cat free home. Dexter is good on the lead and is also good off lead in enclosed areas. He likes to chase and play with other dogs. Dexter is in the kennels in Devon.

Name: Dusty

Sex: dog

Age: 5 years

Information: Lovely fawn greyhound Dusty is a very special boy who is looking for a special home because he is blind. He has been managing so well that his gradual sight loss had not been noticed until a check-up with the vet revealed that his pupils do not react to light. He loves to run in a safe enclosed area and we feel sure that he would soon learn to find his way around a new home, especially if there is already another greyhound or lurcher there who will act as his guide. Can you give this beautiful greyhound a home. He is in the kennels in Devon.

He is very well mannered on the lead and has excellent recall when in our enclosed area. JayJay loves to play with his tennis balls and is very good at playing fetch. He is good with big dogs and older children however would not be suitable to rehome with cats or small dogs. He is generally clean in his kennel and loves his treats so would not take long to train. Ideally JayJay needs to go to a home that will give him the time to adjust to a home environment as he has been in kennels for such a long time. He has been rehomed previously although has been returned through no fault of his own. JayJay loves attention and will happily lounge in bed having cuddles for hours if you let him. He is good off lead in our enclosed area, although his recall may need a bit more practice. He would happily lounge around with his humans all day, and we’re sure would be partial to a sofa or a bed. Porter is good with big dogs and is very calm when meeting them. He is not suitable to live with small dogs or cats. Porter is a very gentle boy and would definitely suit an older person/couple who is able to give him all the attention he deserves.

Name: Rogan

Sex: dog

Age: 3 years

Information: Gorgeous greyhound Rogan has had a hard time in kennels. He is a very sensitive soul and found it hard to settle in to kennel life. He is now much less stressed and is more confident around people; however he can still be shy when you first meet him. He is excellent to walk on and off lead and LOVES to play fetch – he turns into a puppy around tennis balls. He loves relaxing in his bed and watching the world go by. Rogan is wary of new dogs but with appropriate socialisation will soon become more confident. He is not suitable to live with small dogs or cats. Rogan is sensitive and so would need to be in a quiet home, probably without children, as he can become unsure in busy or loud environments. Rogan has become one of the favourites in the kennels as he has such a lovely nature once he gets to know you. We would love for Rogan to find a home where he is given the time to come out of his shell and show everybody what a loving, sweet boy he really is.
