Sex: dog

Age: 10 months

Information: This pretty lurcher is Benson, who has come into the rescue kennels with his brother Bronson because their owner is moving due to work commitments and has been unable to find pet friendly accommodation. Benson's markings suggest that it is possible that he could be crossed with a Dalmation. He has lived with two other dogs, a cat and a guinea pig and has always got on well with all of them. He is also very good with children. Benson is in the kennels in Devon. RESERVED

Blaze is in the kennels in Dorset. RESERVED

Name: Brodie

Sex: dog

Age: 2 years

Information: Lurcher Brodie was in the kennels for a very long time before he found a home. Sadly, that home has turned out to be unsuitable for him and he is now back in the rescue kennels and longing for the day when he will find someone who will love him. When Brodie first came into the rescue, he was very nervous, but over the time he was in he has improved a lot. He can, however, still be nervous in new situations, so he needs an owner who will help to build his confidence with lots of patience and love. Brodie likes other dogs, but he is not keen on cats. He is not used to small children, so any children in his new home should be older ones. Brodie has been fully vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped and he is house-trained and has good recall when off the lead, although will need to be kept on lead for a while until he regains his confidence when in his new home. He is in the kennels in Devon.

Name: Harry

Sex: dog

Age: 6-8 years

Name: Hermes

Sex: dog

Age: 3 years

Information: Hermes is a very handsome, large male greyhound. He can be a little quiet at first but he soon comes out of his shell and enjoys a scratch behind the ears. Hermes is good with other greyhounds and large dogs and could live with another big dog, however we do not know what he will be like with small dogs and would not be suitable to live with cats. Hermes is good off lead but needs a bit more recall practice – he does come back for a treat though! He walks beautifully on a lead. He is clean in the kennel and loves cuddling into his duvet at night. We would like Hermes to go to a quiet, relaxed home where he will get lots of attention and plenty of room for naps. Hermes was born on 1 September 2015. He is in the kennels in Dorset.

She is black with a white tip on her tail. Jewel needs a cat free home, but can live with children aged over 5 years. Until now, the only other dogs that Jewel has met are greyhounds, so we don't know how she would be with small dogs. She can live with another greyhound or lurcher, or as an only dog, as long as she is not left for more than 4 hours a day. Jewel is in the kennels in Devon.

Name: Jimbo

Sex: dog

Age: 3 and a half years

Information: Jimbo is a lovely little Staffordshire Bull Terrier who has lived in a home for the past 2 years but is unfortunately back with us for rehoming. He is a very friendly dog with people and loves a good cuddle, however he does not like other dogs (this is a recent change in behaviour though). He loves a cuddly toy and playing fetch with his tennis ball. He is clean in the kennel. Jimbo does know some basic commands and he would love to find a home where he can learn more. Due to Jimbo not liking other dogs he will need to go to a home that is willing to work on this – this may involve training classes. We would prefer a home that has had previous experience with bull terrier types and is willing to put a bit of work into this wonderful little chap to help him live a happy and stress free life. Jimbo is in the kennels in Dorset.

Name: Joe

Sex: dog

Name: Porter

Sex: dog

Age: 3 years

Information: Porter is the most laid back greyhound you will ever meet. He is a very handsome dog who loves a bit of attention. He is extremely clean in his kennel and is a gentleman to walk on lead. He is good off lead in our enclosed area, although his recall may need a bit more practice. He would happily lounge around with his humans all day, and we’re sure would be partial to a sofa or a bed. Porter is good with big dogs and is very calm when meeting them. He is not suitable to live with small dogs or cats. Porter is a very gentle boy and would definitely suit an older person/couple who is able to give him all the attention he deserves. UPDATE 31 January 2019. Porter has been in the rescue kennels for a whole year now. We can't understand why there has been no interest in him from anyone. Please think about giving Porter a home.

Rose is clean in the kennel and has good recall. She loves being around people and gets on well with other greyhounds so could possibly live with another big dog. She will not be suitable to live with cats and we are unsure what she would be like with small dogs. Rose is quite bouncy so would not be suitable to live with young children in case she accidentally knocks them over. We would love to see Rose in a home where she can carry on enjoying life and getting lots of cuddles and love. She was born on 14 July 2016. Rose is in the kennels in Dorset. RESERVED

He gets on well with other greyhounds and currently shares a kennel with Shelley. He would not be suitable to live with cats and possibly not suitable to live with small dogs. He is very well behaved on and off lead. He likes to take his time round the field – he isn’t one to rush around – but comes back when he’s called. Snoopy is clean in the kennel. Snoopy would love a home with another dog, preferably his best friend Shelley, where he will get lots of attention and cuddles. Snoopy was born on 10 May 2016. He is in the kennels in Dorset.
